Learn all about the hospitality industry from one of the most successful restaurant chains in the world – and earn good money at the same time. The programme takes at least 12 months to complete and gives you the opportunity to gain a Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship (Level 2). This is a nationally recognised qualification, equivalent to five GCSEs grade A*-C (level 4-9) / Scottish Standard Grade or National 4/5. You’ll gain practical work experience and learn new skills that will last you a lifetime. These include planning and organisation, communication, confidence when dealing with customers, decision-making and team work.

What we look for

If you are aged 16+ and have left or are leaving school, the McDonald’s Apprenticeship Programme could be for you – you’ll need to be eager to learn, have a professional attitude and good at juggling work and study. Age restrictions apply outside of England.

McDonald's Apprenticeships

Everyone brings something different to the table, so I try and learn a great skill or quality from everyone to become a better team member.

Tom, Crew Trainer

In just two and a half years, I’ve progressed from Trainee to Crew Trainer and developed my knowledge by completing a Hospitality Apprenticeship. My role means I’m there to keep everything working and running smoothly. Socialising is a big part of life here, I play football with my workmates which helps us bond as a team and makes a fun working atmosphere. We all get along so well, like a McFamily, and I can truly be myself here.
