Learn all about the hospitality industry from one of the most successful restaurant chains in the world – and earn good money at the same time. The programme takes at least 12 months to complete and gives you the opportunity to gain an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality and Catering (Level 2) – equivalent to five GCSEs (A*-C grade). You’ll gain work experience and learn new skills that will last you a lifetime. These include planning and organisation, communication, confidence when dealing with customers, decision-making and team work.

What we look for

If you live in England and are leaving school in the year that you turn 17, then the Apprenticeship Programme fulfils the government’s requirement for you to continue in education or training until the end of Year 12. Enthusiastic and eager to learn, you’ll have good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Benefits can vary depending on the restaurant you work in and whether or not it is franchised.

"As well as working in the restaurant, I’m doing an Apprenticeship through McDonald’s. The qualification and the experience I’ll gain during training will help me progress in the future."

A second interview with your Tutor Assessor will assess your suitability for the Apprenticeship Programme.

Step 4

If all goes well, we’ll offer you an apprenticeship.
