Give yourself an edge in the job market, wherever your future ambitions lie. This one-year placement offers you unique business experience and the chance to learn first-hand from a top team. Working in one of our busy restaurants, you’ll develop skills that are essential across a range of careers – including teamwork, leadership, communication, problem-solving and organisation. You’ll start with the basics, including hands-on experience of the kitchen, front counter, dining area and drive-thru. If all goes well, you’ll end the year managing an entire shift, under supervision, and sharing responsibility for up to 30 employees.

This programme is a great start to a career at McDonald’s. To qualify, you should be a highly motivated undergraduate who’s looking to spend a year in industry. You must be legally allowed to work in the UK.
£13,500 - £16,500 salary, depending on location
We offer a competitive salary of £13,500 – £16,500, depending on the location of the restaurant you’re based in.
During your placement year with us you will receive 28 days’ paid holiday.

52 week full-time contract
Your Placement programme will operate over one full year on a full-time contract.

If we like what we read, we’ll invite you to a restaurant to try out working with the team and have an interview with the Manager (this takes a full day).
If you pass the assessment day, you’ll have a final stage interview with an Operations Manager.
If all goes well, we’ll offer you a place.
