Building relationships is exactly what McDonald’s is all about. In my role as a Customer Experience Leader, I’m lucky enough to spend a lot of time talking to people. It’s great because I know I’m never just delivering food: instead I’m finding ways to go the extra mile for our customers. It’s definitely improved my confidence. Before I joined, I wouldn’t strike up a conversation with someone I didn’t know. Now, it’s one of my favourite things to do. Whether I’m listening to our customers’ stories or sharing a laugh with my team, I’m always talking or interacting with someone – it’s a really brilliant atmosphere to work in.
