This intensive management training programme is the first step to managing one of our UK restaurants. Over the course of six months, you’ll learn our business from the ground up. That means hands-on experience of the kitchen, front counter, dining area and drive-thru – as well as working breakfast, daytime, evening and overnight shifts, so you’ll soon be an expert in every aspect of the restaurant’s routine. From managing a small team, you’ll progress up to being responsible for an entire shift. And, as your experience increases, you’ll take on specific areas of the restaurant such as recruitment, maintenance or accounts. From then on, there’s no limit to how far you can go.

This fast-track programme is open to graduates and people with business experience. To take advantage of the best opportunities to learn and develop, you’ll need to be flexible about working shifts and mobile within your region.
£21,500 - £24,500 starting salary
As a new Trainee Manager you’ll receive a competitive salary of £21,500 – £24,500, depending on the location of the restaurant you are based in.
6 weeks’ paid holiday is awarded to all Trainee Managers who join us at McDonald’s.

Stakeholder pension scheme
As a Trainee Manager, you will have the opportunity to join the stakeholder pension scheme.
If you’re a parent or legal guardian, you could be entitled to Childcare Vouchers – a tax efficient way of paying for childcare.
We’ll review your performance formally every six months, with regular catch-ups in between. Your pay will be reviewed annually based on these reviews.
To recognise your hard work and commitment, we will award you with up to two months’ paid sabbatical leave following every 10 years of consecutive service.
