[00:01] My name is Chelsea. I have
[00:03] worked here for three years and my role
[00:06] is crew member.
[00:08] Back when I started at McDonald's, I was
[00:11] very quiet very withdrawn very within myself. I'm pretty
[00:14] much sprouted into who I am today. On shift
[00:17] I'm very much an energetic, jokey person. Like
[00:20]I will use you have a laugh. I feel like I've been supported and valued
[00:23] by people on shift. There's always gratitude going around.
[00:27] And there's always there's always that support there as
[00:30] well as you're doing the role.
[00:32] Yeah, best thing the people, the customers.
[00:36] Flexibility around what days you can't work, what days you can work.
[00:39] Being able to do things with people in store like arranging to
[00:42] maybe meet out and go the other places and just really having that
[00:45] connection within the crew
[00:48] at your store.
[00:50] It's a very lovely thing to have.
[00:52] I still have people that I talk to today that have left the store and
[00:55] move on to different jobs for that that friendship stays there.
[00:01] My name is Raymond. I'm a shift manager in
[00:03] McDonald's. I've currently been working in the
[00:06] store for roughly about 10 years now. My
[00:09]role basically consists of coaching new area leaders
[00:12] helping other shift managers with their role
[00:15] when new crew members come in we'll always guide them
[00:18] through what our expectation is, what targets we
[00:21] need to reach today we'll always encourage them, at the end of the day we
[00:24] started there. We know what it's like to climb the ladder. My favorite
[00:27] thing about my role is getting to know people finding out
[00:30] where you struggle, where can I step in and
[00:33] go, you know what you're struggling in this area. Let me step in I'm going to
[00:36] train you there. I can only speak for myself but in our store
[00:39] that's what we do. We call ourselves family because we go
[00:42] out together. We work together. We play like football together, but
[00:45] then we all come together as one anyway.
[00:02] My name's Roland.
[00:03] I'm a customer experience leader
[00:05] and I've been with McDonald's three and a half years now.
[00:07] My role in McDonald's is looking
[00:10] after the guests as they come in
[00:12] and making sure that they're happy, uh, they want
[00:15] to come again, and I think they deserve to be looked after.
[00:18] I used to have my own business.
[00:20] I used to have a fish and chip shop.
[00:22] The reason why I chose McDonald's is, um,
[00:24] after I sold my business, I basically wanted to semi-retire.
[00:28] My wife and myself used to go into McDonald's once a week,
[00:31] and that was our day at night.
[00:33] And, uh, I just outta curiosity,
[00:34] I thought I wonder owned what late working here.
[00:37] So instead of retiring, I uh,
[00:40] ended up working for McDonald's.
[00:43] McDonald's helps me to do the job I do
[00:47] by letting me be me.
[00:48] That's what I love about it.
[00:50] I don't have to be anybody else.
[00:52] I can just walk in and be myself and look after people, look
[00:56] after the guests on, on the dining area.
[00:58] Tips for somebody starting at McDonald's.
[01:01] I would say just be yourself.
[01:03] Be natural and work to the best of your ability.
[01:07] So what I'd like to think I could be able
[01:09] to do in the future is to be able to work more
[01:12] to the customer service side, to try
[01:14] and train people up to help them
[01:18] bring out the best in their selves.
[01:20] I love the fact that I get the feedback of, of guests.
[01:24] It just gives you a little bit of satisfaction.
[01:26] The last four or five year have been absolutely brilliant.
[01:31] What I'd say to anyone now is give it a go.
